Hi friends! Hope that everyone is having a great Tuesday! Mine will be long and filled with lots of coffee. I tried a new drink at Starbucks this morning and think I have found my new go to drink. If you haven’t tied the Iced Cinnamon Almond Milk Macchiato yet, you definitely should!
Another new thing I’m currently loving is the trend of stars on clothing! So 90’s! So cute! I have seen it on everything for sweaters, to jeans, to even shoes! This trend is edgy, yet also super wearable. I’ve shared some pictures below to hopefully inspire you to try this adorable trend out!
Hey guys! Uhh yeah, sorry for dipping. My personal life got extremely crazy right at the time I was trying to seriously start this whole blogging thing, so I took some time in the name of self-care, figured my shit out, and now I’m ready to do this!
So this post is going to be geared more towards a lifestyle post and I’m going to share my recent experience with realizing just how important self-care is.
I work in retail, and while I LOVE it, the holidays are an insane time with long hours and overwhelming expectations. You have to be on your A Game at work (its peak szn baby), you have family obligations, things to do with your significant other, a MILLION gifts to buy, and more thank likely, on top of all of that, you’re probably dead broke too. It. Is. Hard. In addition to all of that stress, my relationship hit an extremely rough patch, and in all honesty, is still in that rough patch. I don’t really know what will happen with that, but that’s okay. It is okay to not be okay.
I saw a quote on Pinterest that really resonated with me. It read “Keep taking time for yourself until you are you again” – Lalah Delia. It clicked so much that I took a week off of work, a week that desperately need apparently. During that week, I caught up on sleep, i watched my favorite shows without guilt, I deep cleaned my apartment, I spent time with my family, I daydreamed about my goals and dreams for the first time in a very long time. I was able to gain clarity and refocus my energy to be more productive and happy. I need that week of self-care, everyone needs self care, whether it be a week or a few minutes each day. It is SO important, you should never let yourself get rundown to the point of just done with life.
Anyways, thanks for letting me rant and be seriously off brand here in this post. I encourage everyone to divulge in some self-care today and always!
Hey there friends!
It’s that time of the year again! School starts back, you start seeing Halloween decor Hobby Lobby, and Starbucks brings back the infamous Pumpkin Spice Latte. That’s right friends, its fall.
Fall is my favorite season of the year for several reasons, the main one being all the new fall fashion trends that emerge. The second reason being the endless PSLs I will indulge myself in (don’t judge me lol!). Fall fashion just makes me feel instantly chic and put together. In this post I will be sharing my 2018 Fall Wardrobe Essentials, featuring this year’s new trends and a few classic statement pieces I believe every woman needs.
First things first; To me, the most important fall wardrobe piece is an olive-green utility vest or jacket. Hands down my vest and jacket are 2 of the most worn pieces in my closet.
The next must have is a good pair of animal print booties. I have a pair of Kate Spade calf hair leopard booties, and although they were a bit of an investment piece, they are worth every single penny! I’m not joking when I say I love these shoes almost more than I love my boyfriend. I put those bad boys on and I feel as if I can conquer anything. I lovingly refer to them as my “bad bitch’ shoes, lol!
Some additional items I think are this year’s fall must haves include simple waffle knit thermal tops, distressed boyfriend style jeans, jeans with frayed hems, and BELL BOTTOM JEANS! Hello 70’s, we missed you! xoxo. I cannot even put into words how excited I am that flare jeans are back.
What are your fall wardrobe must haves? I would love to hear them in the comments!
Thanks for reading!
